Review- Primers- Cover FX ClearPrep FX

Cover FX Clearprep FX primer is one of the samples I chose in my Beauty Army package. I have wanted to try the Cover FX line of products for a while after hearing several good reviews of the company. Immediately, after receiving the ClearPrep Primer I stated to use it and I have to say so far I am a fan.

For about a week I have added ClearPrep FX to my daily routine when applying my makeup in the morning. I use a small amount (a little goes a long way), before applying my foundation. The primer makes my skin feel soft and allows for a smooth application of my foundation.

A little about the company: Cover FX was founded by Corrective Makeup Specialist Lee Graff in a collaboration with Dr. Neil Shear, Chief of Dermatology at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center and Chemical Engineer Jenny Frankel. Ms. Graff objective was to assist her patients; that suffered from a variety of skin disorders, burns, scars and discolorations, with finding products that would cover the flaws that affected their self esteem.

Overall thoughts: I have combination skin that will easily break-out when using different products. However, so far, ClearPrep FX has not broken my skin out, and has given my face an even toned look. Actually, the product seems to have controlled the breakouts, and has given an appearance of minimized pores. ClearPrep FX did control oil during the day, which is extremely a positive feature of the primer. I normally get oily in my T-Zone area during the day and I did not notice any problems in this area. The primer definitely gives my skin a matte appearance, and keeps my makeup lasting longer. I apply a very small amount (less than pea size) of the primer in my T-Zone area, allow sinking in for a few seconds, and then applied my foundation. My foundation goes on smooth and looks flawless.

I even used ClearPrep alone, without applying foundation afterwards, and I like that it gave my skin an even toned , flawless finish. I will purchase this product when I am done with the sample.
